Setting up dll.conf

Somewhere on a location like

/etc/sane.d/
there should be a file called dll.conf. This file should be edited. On my system it looks (after editing it) like the following:
# enable the next line if you want to allow access through the network:
#
# Modified for SuSE Linux.
# All lines commented to avoid trouble with wrong autodetection of backends.
# Unomment the backend you need in this list.
#
# net
# abaton
# agfafocus
# apple
# avision
# artec
# as6e
# bh
# canon
# coolscan
# dc25
# dc210
# dc240
# dmc
# epson
# hp
# m3096g
# microtek
# microtek2
# mustek
# #mustek_pp
# mustek_usb
# nec
# pie
# pint
plustek
# pnm
# qcam
# ricoh
# s9036
# sharp
# sm3600
# snapscan
# sp15c
# tamarack
# umax
# umax_pp
# v4l
You see, I've uncommented the plustek line. This is so that the system knows that it should look for a plustek scanner.
